Bafta 2021: le nomination premiano 'Nomadland' e 'Rocks'

Ogni anno la British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) assegna i premi a quanto di meglio visto nel mondo del cinema e anche quest'anno non farà eccezione, nonostante la pandemia di Coronavirus. Sono state annunciate le candidature di quelli che comunemente sono chiamati "gli Oscar inglesi" e a guidare la corsa sono 'Nomadland' di Chloé Zhao e 'Rocks' di Sarah Gavron, con sette nomination a testa. C'è anche un pizzico d'Italia, perché Mark Coulier compare nella categoria dedicata a trucco e parrucco grazie a 'Pinocchio' (il film di Matteo Garrone, con Roberto Benigni protagonista). Ultima notazione: dopo le polemiche dell'anno scorso, una serie di modifiche interne all'Academy britannica hanno portato a candidature molto più nel segno della "diversity". Troviamo per esempio quattro donne nella categoria per la migliore regia e 15 dei 24 fra attori e attrici sono di colore oppure asiatici (nel 2020 erano stati tutti bianchi).
